Dalton Carpet Outlet began with the opening of its first store in Manitowoc, Wisconsin in September 1994.  The local community quickly embraced the concept of a "carpet outlet" retail store, and a second store was opened in Sheboygan in 1995.

The carpet outlet experience was brought to the Fox Cities market with the opening of a third Dalton Carpet Outlet location on  Appleton's west side in September 1997.

During the year 2000, Dalton Carpet Outlet moved from a leased building in Sheboygan to a permanent location and a corporate headquarters was added to the Manitowoc store on Dewey Street.

Due to the overwhelming success of the Dalton Carpet Outlet in Appleton, a second store was opened in 2002 on Appleton's growing east side.

Since 2002, Dalton Carpet Outlet has continued to experience growth in all of our locations as customers spread the word to others about Dalton Carpet Outlet's low prices, professional sales staff, and commitment to customer satisfaction.

In 2008, Dalton Carpet Outlet strengthened its presence in northeast Wisconsin with the addition of a fifth location, this time in Green Bay. For years Dalton Carpet Outlet has been advertising on Green Bay television stations to reach the Fox Valley and now residents of Green Bay and the surrounding area have a close and convenient location for all their flooring needs. The Green Bay location opened in June, 2008.

Dalton Carpet Outlet comprises five successful locations selling a combined total of over one and a half million square feet of flooring every year to satisfied customers throughout Northeast Wisconsin and the Lakeshore region.
